Wayne’s Miniature Bases

Dave Perrotta’s Gold-winning diorama for the Privateer Press painting competition at Gencon Indy 2006 was this wonderful scene of gobbers looking with dismay at the wreckage of a warjack that they have to fix.

The display base is made from Brazilian Ipe, and features a removable insert for the terrain. Dave routed lights to the lamp-post and batteries inside the base.

Conquest SF commisioned me to make these trophies for the painting competition and the Warhammer tournaments. 19 trophy bases were made out of White Oak, Mahogany, and Amboyna Burl for the Best Of Show, with custom laser-etched nameplates.
